Fiat 500 remapping
Your 500 gets mapped wherever it's parked, whether that's outside your house or at work. Most visits are over within 60 to 90 minutes, with no drop-off and no lift needed.
How a visit for your 500 works
Tell us the registration
We look up the engine, confirm the map is available and give you the price, which is £275 + VAT for Stage 1, Stage 2 or economy.
Choose where we meet the car
Home, work or a relative's driveway anywhere in Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, Cheshire or Huddersfield.
The map goes on
We read the codes, back up the original software and write the new file through the diagnostic socket.
A final check before we go
The codes are read again and you hear exactly what's been changed.
About the Fiat 500 remap
Abarth 500 owners usually want a crisper, quicker car, and Stage 1 is the usual starting point. Pops and bangs can be added to an Abarth too, priced per car on our pops and bangs page.
A 500 1.3 Multijet or other diesel covering plenty of miles can take an economy map set up for mpg. If yours is a TwinAir or a 1.2, send the registration first, because small non-turbo petrols gain very little for the money and we'll tell you if that applies.
At home or at work
We need the 500, its keys and a safe spot where it can sit with the engine off for about an hour. A driveway, a quiet street or a works car park all do the job, as long as you've cleared it with the site if it's at work.
You're free to get on with your day while the map is written. Just be around at the start to hand over the keys and at the end for the handover.
Why book SGR
There's no need to give up a day for a remap when most 500s are finished inside an hour and a half on your own driveway. Every job is covered by our £2 million insurance, and if a warning light is showing, same-day diagnostic slots are often free so the fault can be sorted before the car is mapped.
Reviews
Can you remap my 500 at work?
Yes, if there's a safe place to park and your employer doesn't mind a technician working in the car park. Plenty of people book a slot that fits their lunch hour.
Do you need to see the 500 before quoting?
No. The registration gives us the engine and ECU details, so you get a firm price over the phone.
What do I need to have ready for my 500?
Just the car, the keys and a spot where it can stay put for the visit. Mention any aftermarket parts, such as an exhaust on an Abarth, when you book.
Can the 500 go back to standard?
Yes. The factory software is saved before we write anything, so your 500 can be put back to standard if you ever need it. Restoring the original map costs extra, and we can quote it up front.
