We clean Focus DPFs outside your house or at work, with the filter left on the car. Most cleans take 60 to 90 minutes, and if the warning has only just appeared, a same-day slot is often available.
How a visit for your Focus works
Send the registration
Let us know if the dash says "exhaust filter overloaded" or shows a DPF light. The clean is £275 + VAT.
Choose where and when
We'll come to the car anywhere from Greater Manchester out to Lancashire, Merseyside, Cheshire and Huddersfield.
We test the filter, then clean it
After reading the codes and soot load, we add the cleaning solution and run a forced regeneration.
Handover
The codes are cleared, the readings checked again and the results explained.
About the Focus DPF clean
A diesel Focus, the 1.6 TDCi included, can block its DPF if most journeys are short. The filter needs heat to burn off soot, and stop-start town trips rarely supply enough of it.
The clean softens the soot and burns it out without removing the filter, which keeps the cost to £275 + VAT. Ash and cracks can't be fixed by cleaning, and we'll tell you if that's what we find. A £220 + VAT DPF delete is also available.
At home or at work
The Focus needs to be parked somewhere the engine can run safely for an hour or so.

Yes, as long as the car is somewhere safe and the site is happy for us to be there. A lunchtime slot works well for many people.
Do I need to stay with the Focus?
No. Hand over the keys at the start, and we'll find you at the end to explain what we've done.
Can you check what blocked the Focus's filter?
We'll look at the codes and live data during the visit, which usually shows the cause. If a fault needs tracing further, diagnostics cost £100 + VAT.
How do I stop the Focus's DPF blocking again?
Give the car a longer run at steady speed from time to time and let regenerations finish. Sorting any EGR or injector fault we spot will help too.
Could I have the Focus's DPF deleted instead?
We only carry out DPF deletes on cars used off-road or going for export, so it isn't an option for a Focus driven on UK roads. Our DPF removal guide explains why.
