We work on diesel Navaras, including the D22 and D40. Pickups that idle on site and stop and start all day are hard on EGR valves, which is worth bearing in mind if yours does that kind of work.
If a D40 is showing signs of EGR cooler trouble, such as coolant loss or white smoke, mention it when you book. Engines and ECUs differ, so send the registration and we'll confirm what's possible.

Can you delete the EGR on a Navara?
Yes, for Navaras used off-road or being exported. It's illegal on a pickup used on UK roads, and our guide on whether an EGR delete is legal explains why.
Do you clean EGR valves on the Navara?
No, cleaning isn't something we offer. If you'd rather keep the EGR, a garage can fit a new valve once our diagnostic check confirms it's the problem.

How long does the Navara delete take?
Most are done in 60 to 90 minutes, including the checks either side. Same-day visits are often possible if the warning has just appeared.
