What a remap changes on a V40
Volvo's factory map is set conservatively for every market. A remap updates the boost, fuel and timing settings, so the V40 pulls more strongly in the gears you use most and needs fewer downchanges.
Whether your V40 feels underpowered on the motorway or you'd like it to use less diesel, a new engine map can help. We remap the D2, D3, D4 and the petrol T models at home or work, with every job starting from a fault check.

A high-mileage diesel V40 with intake carbon build-up may benefit from a carbon clean at £125 + VAT before a Stage 1.
If your V40 has an automatic gearbox, we can map it for £195 + VAT, or £440 + VAT with the engine.
We read the codes on your V40 and copy its software before anything else. Then the map is written for £275 + VAT, and we check the codes again before handing back the keys.

An economy map on a D2, D3 or D4 is designed to. How much you save depends on your mileage.
Yes. If our code read finds a fault, it should be repaired before the car is mapped.
A properly written map on a healthy V40 shouldn't. That's why the fault check comes first.
Send us the registration and tell us whether economy or performance matters more. The XC60, XC90 and other models are on our Volvo remapping page.
