What a remap changes on a V60
Volvo's software is set up for every market and fuel quality. A remap reworks boost, fuel and timing for UK conditions, so a diesel V60 pulls more strongly from low revs and holds its gear for longer.
An economy map points that extra torque at relaxed cruising, which suits an estate doing long runs.
Work worth pairing with a V60 remap
- Gearbox map. If your V60 has an automatic gearbox, a gearbox map is £195 + VAT, or £440 + VAT with the engine.
- Carbon clean. A diesel estate with carbon in the intake can have a carbon clean for £125 + VAT before Stage 1.
- Diagnostics. Any light on the dash gets a diagnostic check before mapping.
What we do about it
We read the V60's codes, save its Volvo software and write a Stage 1, Stage 2 or economy map for £275 + VAT. The job happens at your home or workplace and takes 60 to 90 minutes in most cases.
