Remapping an XC60 costs £275 + VAT, and you can choose Stage 1, Stage 2 or economy for that price. If yours is an automatic, the gearbox can be mapped for £195 + VAT, or £440 + VAT alongside the engine. Every quote comes from your registration, so it's fixed before we visit.

What remapping changes on the XC60
Volvo calibrates its engines with wide safety margins so they suit any market. A remap trims those margins back for UK fuel and conditions by adjusting boost, fuelling and timing, which gives a D4 or D5 more pull for overtaking and towing.
If the car mostly cruises, an economy map points those changes at mpg. We'll suggest one or the other once you've told us how the XC60 is used.
Is it worth it on an XC60?
A turbo diesel or turbo petrol XC60 has plenty to gain, which makes a £275 + VAT map worth the money. We'll confirm your engine from the registration, and if there's little to gain, we'll say so.
Stage 2 is for cars that already have the parts it depends on. Start with Stage 1 if your XC60 is standard.
Insurance and warranty

Is Stage 2 an option on the XC60?

Is the engine and gearbox package worth it on an XC60?
If your XC60 is an automatic, the package costs £440 + VAT and saves £30 on two separate maps. The gearbox is set up to work with the engine's new torque.
Do I need to tell my insurer about a remapped XC60?
Yes. It counts as a modification, and an insurer could refuse a claim if it wasn't declared.
Will a remap affect my XC60's warranty?
It may do, as Volvo can refuse engine and gearbox claims on a mapped car. If yours is still under warranty, ask the dealer or read the terms before booking.
