What remapping changes on the Tiguan

For a TDI 4Motion that tows, the stronger low-down pull is usually the draw. A TSI owner tends to notice the quicker response more.
Is it worth it on a Tiguan?
Turbocharged engines get the most out of a remap, so if your Tiguan has a turbo diesel or turbo petrol, £275 + VAT is good value. We'll confirm what your engine can take from the registration.
Stage 2 is worth paying for only once the supporting parts are fitted. Until then, a Stage 1 map is the sensible place to begin.
Insurance and warranty

Can the Tiguan go to Stage 2?

Is the engine and gearbox package worth it on a Tiguan?
On a DSG Tiguan it costs £440 + VAT, a £30 saving on two separate maps. The DSG map is set up to handle the extra torque, so changes stay smooth.
Do I need to tell my insurer about a remapped Tiguan?
You do. A remap is a modification, and if it isn't on the policy the insurer could refuse to pay out.
Will a remap affect my Tiguan's warranty?
It might. VW can decline claims on the engine or gearbox of a remapped car, so read the terms first if your Tiguan is still covered.
