Why the 128ti Responds So Well to Remapping
BMW fits the same B48A20T1 engine to both the 128ti and the M135i, with the 128ti mapped to a lower output from the factory. BMW 128ti tuning recalibrates that map to bring the output significantly closer to the M135i level, using the hardware that is already fitted.
The result is a 128ti that pulls harder through the mid-range, responds sharper off the throttle, and carries more pace through motorway conditions. For a software-only change, the improvement is substantial.
