DPF cleaning for Mazda
Soot collects in the filter and is burned away during regenerations, which only complete on a longer run with the engine fully warm. School runs and short commutes cut them short, and a sensor, EGR or injector fault makes things worse.
A flashing DPF light, on a CX-3 or any other Mazda, usually means the filter is well past the point of clearing on its own. Book a check rather than pressing on, as limp mode often follows.

Can you clean the DPF on any Mazda diesel?
