Mercedes AdBlue problems and delete
An AdBlue warning on a Mercedes that comes back after a reset usually means a part of the system has failed. We read the codes on site and can delete the AdBlue system for £330 + VAT.
AdBlue for Mercedes
Clearing the warning with a code reader is a quick fix that rarely lasts. If the pump, heater, NOx sensor or injector is at fault, the ECU logs it again and the warning returns, sometimes with a countdown to no restart.
We find out which part is behind it first. A dealer or SCR specialist can then replace the part, as we don't repair AdBlue systems, or we can delete the system instead.
Warnings and signs
- An AdBlue warning light that returns after the tank is topped up or the fault is cleared
- An "AdBlue system fault" style message on the instrument cluster
- A countdown in miles before the engine won't restart
- The engine management light on alongside the AdBlue warning
- White crystals around the filler or dosing injector

How much is an AdBlue delete on a Mercedes?
It's £330 + VAT, carried out where the vehicle is parked. The delete switches off the system in the ECU and clears the stored AdBlue codes.
Is an AdBlue delete legal?
Only on a vehicle used off-road or exported. On a Mercedes used on UK roads, it breaks the emissions rules and can fail an MOT. Our guide on whether an AdBlue delete is legal sets it out.
Why is the AdBlue light still on after I've filled my Mercedes?
Topping up only clears a warning about a low tank. If the light stays, the ECU has stored a fault with a part or the fluid quality, and reading the codes is the only way to know which. Our AdBlue warning light guide has more.
