Mondeo remaps cost £275 + VAT, with a choice of a performance map or an economy map for high-mileage diesels. Automatic Mondeos can add a gearbox map, and the price is confirmed from your registration before we come out.

What a remap changes on the Mondeo
The Mondeo is a big car that often lives on the motorway, and a remap gives its engine more torque at cruising revs. On a 2.0 TDCi, 2.2 TDCi or Titanium X Sport, that means easier overtakes and less hunting between gears on long climbs.
An economy map takes a different route, setting the engine up to use less diesel on steady journeys. The ST TDCi and other performance versions can be mapped for response.
Is it worth it on a Mondeo?
A Mondeo with a turbo diesel or turbo petrol engine gives the best return on a remap. For a company car or taxi covering big miles, an economy map is usually the better fit.
A small non-turbo petrol Mondeo gains very little from mapping, and we'll tell you before you spend anything.
Insurance and warranty

Is Stage 2 an option on the Mondeo?

Is the engine and gearbox package worth it on a Mondeo?
On an automatic Mondeo, booking both together is £440 + VAT, which is £30 less than separately. The gearbox map also keeps the changes smooth with the extra torque.
Do I need to tell my insurer about a remapped Mondeo?
Yes. Insurers count a remap as a modification, so it belongs on the policy whether the car is private or used for work.
Will a remap affect my Mondeo's warranty?
It could, if the car is still under Ford's warranty, since engine and gearbox claims may be refused. Read the terms before booking.
