What a remap changes on an A7
A remap adjusts boost, fuelling and timing so the A7's diesel gives more torque low and mid-range. That means fewer kick-downs at motorway speed and easier overtakes, or with an economy map, lower fuel use on long runs.
An A7 3.0 TDI is a quick car already, but a remap can make it more responsive on the motorway or kinder on fuel over long distances. We map the 3.0 TDI, 272 and BiTDI where the car is parked, after a full fault check.

| Extra | When it helps | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Gearbox map | If your A7 has an automatic or DSG gearbox | £195 + VAT, or £440 + VAT with the engine map |
| Diagnostics | A warning light needs tracing first | £100 + VAT |
We read the A7's codes and save its software, then write a Stage 1, Stage 2 or economy map for £275 + VAT. A second code read follows before we hand back the keys.
Yes. It holds its gear more easily on inclines and responds faster when you ask for an overtake.
An economy map is designed to lower fuel use. The actual saving depends on how you use the car.
Yes. A stored fault should be repaired first, so we always read the codes before writing a map.
Not on a healthy car with a sensible map. Existing faults are the risk, and our checks look for them.
Tell us the registration and whether you're after response or economy, and we'll come back with a fixed price. The Audi remapping page covers the A6 and the rest of the range.
