AdBlue faults on a Citroen
Citroen, like Peugeot, often shows "anti-pollution fault" or "emission system fault" rather than an AdBlue symbol. That message covers every emissions part, so on a C3, C2 or any model without AdBlue the cause is elsewhere, usually the DPF, EGR or a sensor. See our guide to the anti-pollution fault.
Peugeot and Citroen BlueHDi models are known for AdBlue tank and heater faults. Pumps, NOx sensors and crystallised injectors can also be behind a warning, and the codes show which one.

Can you delete AdBlue on a Citroen?
Yes, on AdBlue-equipped Citroen cars and vans used off-road or exported. A road vehicle can't legally run with the system switched off, which our AdBlue delete legal guide explains.
Do you repair Citroen AdBlue systems?
We don't replace pumps, heaters, tanks or sensors. What we do is find the fault so the dealer knows exactly what to fix, or delete the system.
What does the AdBlue warning mean on a Citroen?
