What a remap changes on the Range Rover
A heavy car with a big diesel benefits from extra low-down torque. On the 3.0 TDV6, SDV6, 3.6 TDV8 or 4.4 SDV8, a remap makes towing and overtaking feel more relaxed and reduces kick-downs on hills.
A Range Rover engine map costs £275 + VAT, and an automatic gearbox map can be added for £195 + VAT. We price your car from the registration, then map it on your driveway or at work.
| Map | Suits | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Stage 1 remap | A standard TDV6, SDV6, TDV8 or SDV8 | £275 + VAT |
| Economy remap | A diesel Range Rover covering long distances | £275 + VAT |
| Gearbox remap | If your Range Rover has an automatic gearbox | £195 + VAT |
| Engine and gearbox package | A Range Rover that tows and wants both maps | £440 + VAT |

A turbo diesel is the type of engine that makes most of a new map, so a diesel Range Rover is well suited. If you tow often or cover long distances, the extra torque or the economy map both earn their place.
A remap must be declared to your insurer as a modification. If your Range Rover is still within Land Rover's warranty, engine or gearbox claims could be affected. Read our guide to remaps, insurance and warranty before booking.
Only once supporting parts have been fitted. Tell us what's been upgraded and we'll confirm.
If you tow, it usually is. It's £440 + VAT for both, and the gearbox stops hunting for gears under the extra torque.
Yes. Every remap should be on the policy, or a claim could be refused.
It can, if the car is still covered. Check the terms before booking.
Send the registration and we'll confirm a fixed price. See our pricing page, or the Land Rover remapping page for the Range Rover Sport and other models.
