Renault Megane remapping
Stage 1, Stage 2 and economy maps for the Megane are all priced at £275 + VAT. That covers everything from a 1.5 dCi to a Megane RS 250, 280 or 300, and an automatic gearbox can be mapped for £195 + VAT. You get a firm price from the registration before we book.

What remapping changes on the Megane
The factory calibration has to cope with any fuel and climate Renault sells into. A remap reworks the boost, fuel and timing settings for UK use, which gives a dCi Megane easier pull at low revs and an RS a crisper throttle.
A 1.5 dCi doing long commutes may suit an economy map better than a performance one. We'll help you choose when you call.
Is it worth it on a Megane?
Turbo engines respond best to a new map, so a turbo diesel or turbo petrol Megane gets good value from £275 + VAT. We'll confirm what yours has from the registration.
Stage 2 is only worth it on an RS that already has the parts for it. A standard car should start at Stage 1.
Insurance and warranty
Your insurer has to be told about a remap, because it changes the engine's output. If your Megane is under Renault warranty, a remap could affect engine or gearbox claims. Read our guide to remaps, insurance and warranty for the detail.
Is Stage 2 an option on the Megane?
On a Megane RS with the supporting parts already fitted, yes. Send the parts list when you book and we'll build the map to suit. Our Stage 2 remap page has more.
Is the engine and gearbox package worth it on a Megane?
For an automatic Megane, the £440 + VAT package is £30 less than two separate maps. The gearbox is set to suit the engine's extra torque.
Do I need to tell my insurer about a remapped Megane?
Yes. A remap is treated as a modification, and failing to declare it could void a claim.
Will a remap affect my Megane's warranty?
It can. Renault may turn down engine and gearbox claims on a remapped car, so if yours is still covered, check first.
