Why book SGR
An EGR fault can put a van in limp mode at the worst time. We can often attend the same day for a warning light, most jobs take 60 to 90 minutes, and £2 million of insurance covers the work.
We diagnose Trafic EGR faults at the yard, the depot or outside your house, so the van isn't stuck at a garage. Most visits take 60 to 90 minutes, and a new warning light can often be looked at the same day.
Tell us whether it's a 1.6 or 2.0, what the van is doing and where it's parked.
An early visit before it goes out, or once it's back at the yard.
The codes and live EGR data are read for £100 + VAT, so you know if it's the valve, the cooler, a sensor or the wiring.
The £220 + VAT delete can be done on the spot, or you get a clear note of the part a garage needs to fit.
Vans that idle on site and stop and start all day are hard on EGR valves. Soot and oil vapour build up on the valve until it sticks, leading to rough running, black smoke and limp mode. If your Trafic has an EGR cooler fault, coolant loss or white smoke can be part of the picture.
The delete switches the EGR off in the ECU and clears its codes. We don't clean EGR valves.
If several Trafics, or a mix of vans, are showing EGR or DPF faults, we can work through more than one on a single visit to the yard where time allows. That saves the vans travelling anywhere.
Fleet operators with regular work can open a trade account, and other vans in the fleet, from Transits to Vivaros, are covered too.

Yes, the depot is often the best place. We just need the van parked safely.
The stored codes and live EGR readings, plus a look at whether the cooler or a sensor is involved. That way, the delete or the new part is aimed at the real fault.
Often, yes. Let us know how many vans and what each is showing, and we'll plan enough time.
The registration, the symptoms and any codes already read, plus where the van will be and when. We'll confirm the price and the slot.
No. We only carry out the delete on Trafics used off-road or going for export, and our guide on whether an EGR delete is legal explains the rules.
Tell us the registration and where the Trafic is kept, and we'll set up a visit. Other Renault models are on our Renault EGR page, and the same van can be booked for Trafic DPF cleaning or Trafic remapping.
