Why book SGR
Every hour a Crafter is parked up costs you, so the remap is done where it stands, usually in 60 to 90 minutes. Same-day diagnostic visits are often available for warning lights, and all our work is covered by £2 million insurance.
We remap Crafters at the yard, on site or outside your house, so the van carries on working the same day. Most jobs take 60 to 90 minutes, and the speed limiter can be dealt with while we're there.
We check your Crafter's ECU and confirm £275 + VAT for a van remap, plus a price for limiter removal if you need it.
Early starts at the depot are fine, anywhere across Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, Cheshire or Huddersfield.
Codes are read, the VW software is saved, then the new map and any limiter change are written.
We re-check the codes and tell you what's different before the van heads out.
A Crafter loaded to the roof spends much of its day pulling hard, and a van remap puts more torque where a heavy van needs it. On long-distance routes, the map can be set up for economy instead.
Many ex-fleet vans are capped below motorway speed. Our speed limiter removal service raises or removes the cap, priced per van. If yours is plated over 3.5 tonnes, the limiter has to stay by law, and we'll check that from the registration.
A depot visit means several Crafters can often be mapped one after another, keeping disruption to a single morning. Send the registrations together and we'll plan the order around the vans' rounds.
Regular fleet work can go through a trade account, and we cover vans of most makes, so a mixed yard is no problem.

Yes. We work in yards, depots and on sites, as long as the van's parked safely and we have permission to be there.
No. The registration shows us the ECU, so you have a confirmed price before we arrive.
Usually, yes. Send all the registrations at once, and we'll work out how many can be done in the time the vans are free.
Yes. The original VW software is stored first, so the van can be returned to standard before it's sold or handed back. There's a separate charge for putting it back to standard, and we'll quote it on request.
Send the registration, or a list for the fleet, and we'll set up a time at your yard or home. The VW remapping page covers the Transporter, Amarok and more.
