Van remapping at your yard, depot or home
A Stage 1 van remap gives a loaded van more pulling power and can bring the fuel bill down. We do the work where the van is parked, for £275 + VAT per van, across Greater Manchester and the North West.
Does your van struggle with a full load?
Most vans leave the factory with a map built for an empty test cycle. If any of these sound familiar, a remap is worth a look.
- It crawls up hills once the back is full
- You're dropping a gear every time the motorway rises
- Towing a trailer feels like hard work for the engine
- It needs a lot of throttle just to hold speed into a headwind
What remapping a van changes
The map raises torque low down in the rev range, which is where a working van spends its day. That means the engine pulls a load without being thrashed, and you can hold a higher gear for longer.
Less effort usually means less fuel too, so many van owners see the remap pay its way over time. If economy is the main goal, ask about an eco remap set up purely for mpg.

We map light commercials from all the big manufacturers. Give us the registration and we'll confirm yours before booking.
Ford Transit, Transit Custom and Ranger
Later models on the locked Ford SID212 ECU are mapped off site, see below.
Mercedes Sprinter and Vito
Popular with couriers and conversions, and a strong candidate for extra low-down torque.
VW Transporter, Crafter and Caddy
From the small Caddy to a long-wheelbase Crafter on multi-drop work.
Vauxhall Vivaro and Movano
Common fleet vans that respond well to a Stage 1 map.

Get in TouchFord SID212 tuning for Transits and Rangers
Many recent Transit, Transit Custom and Ranger models use the Ford SID212 engine ECU. It's locked against standard tuning tools, so these vans can't be mapped the usual way.
For those, we take the ECU out, send it away to be unlocked and mapped, and refit it within 7 days. The price is £1,200 + VAT all in, and our guide covers which models are affected.
Remapping a fleet
Mobile van remapping suits fleets well, because nothing has to be booked into a garage. Van chip tuning used to mean swapping a chip on the ECU board, and today it's usually done through the diagnostic port in the cab.
Send us the list
Give us the registrations and we'll confirm each van can be mapped and quote the job.
Pick your times
We work around your shifts, so vans can be mapped first thing, between jobs or after the last drop.
We map on site
Each van is checked for fault codes, mapped and handed back at your yard or depot.
Open a trade account
Regular fleet work can go through a trade account. See our trade and partners page.
What van owners say
Will a remap change my van's payload or towing limit?
No. The plated gross weight, payload and towing limits stay exactly as they are on the chassis plate. The remap makes the van feel stronger within those limits.
Can you remove the speed limiter at the same time?
On vans where a limiter isn't a legal requirement, yes. Mention it when you book and we'll quote both together. Our speed limiter removal page explains which vans qualify.
My van is leased. Can I still remap it?
Check your lease agreement first, as many lease companies need the van returned on its original software. If it's allowed, we'll save the original file so it can go back to standard. Returning it is a separate job with its own charge, which we can quote when you book.
How long does a van remap take?
Most vans are mapped in 60 to 90 minutes. For a fleet, we'll plan how many we can get through in a visit.
Is a van remap different from a car remap?
The process is the same, but the map is written for a different job. A van map puts the extra torque where you need it for loads and towing, rather than chasing a top-end power figure.
Book your van remap
Tell us the make, model and what the van carries, and we'll quote and book a time that fits around your work. We bring everything needed, so your van stays on site.
