About the Passat EGR delete
Soot and oil vapour build up on the EGR valve until it sticks, causing rough running, black smoke and sometimes limp mode. With a delete, the ECU no longer operates the EGR and its stored codes are wiped.
We don't clean EGR valves, so if you'd rather keep the EGR, a garage can fit a new valve.
