Honda EGR problems and delete
Hesitation, a lumpy idle or an EGR code on a Civic, CR-V or Accord points to a valve that's clogging or sticking. We diagnose Honda EGR faults at your home or workplace, and the EGR delete is £220 + VAT.
EGR delete for Honda
The EGR valve lets a metered amount of exhaust back into the engine to bring combustion temperatures and NOx down. Soot from that gas sticks to oil vapour in the intake, builds up on the valve and eventually stops it opening and closing properly.
We don't clean EGR valves. If you'd rather keep the EGR working, a garage can fit a replacement valve.

Reviews
What are the signs of a failing EGR on a Honda?
A rough idle, hesitation and black smoke are the common ones, often with a code such as P0400 or P0401. Our EGR valve symptoms guide goes through each.
Is an EGR delete legal on a Honda used on the road?
No. Switching off the EGR on a road car breaks the emissions rules and can lead to an MOT fail, so we only do it for off-road and export use. See our EGR delete law guide.
Can the DPF and EGR on my Honda be deleted in one visit?
Yes. The two deletes are £220 + VAT each and can be done together, saving a second trip.
