Mitsubishi L200 DPF problems and cleaning

Why the L200's DPF blocks
Pickups that idle on site and stop and start all day give the filter little chance to regenerate. An EGR fault or a faulty pressure sensor can make it worse, and our L200 EGR page covers the valve side.
What we do about it
Diagnostics are £100 + VAT. If it's soot, we clean the filter with it still fitted for £275 + VAT.
If the filter can't be saved, the DPF delete costs £220 + VAT.
Why does my L200's DPF keep blocking?
Short moves and idling stop regenerations finishing, and an EGR or sensor fault can add to it.
Can I keep using my L200 with the DPF light on?
For a short spell, but towing and short trips load it further. Book a check soon.
Will a forced regeneration clear the L200's filter?
Possibly, if the soot is light. Packed soot needs a cleaning solution first.
Who can have an L200 DPF delete?
Only pickups used off-road, such as on farms or private land, or being exported. Our DPF removal guide explains the rules for road use.
