Kia remapping
A Kia Stinger GT owner after sharper response and a Sportage diesel that tows a caravan both have something to gain from a remap. We map Kias at home or at work, and every engine map is £275 + VAT.
Remapping for Kia
Kia's CRDi diesels and turbo petrols are the engines that respond to a new map. On a Sorento or Sportage the extra low-down torque makes towing easier, and an Optima 1.7 CRDi on long runs can be set up for economy.
If you'd like crackles on the overrun from a Stinger, a pops and bangs map is priced per car. Whatever the model, we read the codes before mapping.
What a remap changes
- More torque from low revs for towing and overtaking
- Sharper throttle response on turbo petrols
- Better mpg on diesels with an economy map
- Gear changes that suit the new map if your Kia has an automatic gearbox

Reviews
Can you quote for my Kia from the registration?
Yes. From the registration we can see the engine and ECU, which is all we need to give you a price and the map options.
Can a remapped Kia go back to standard?
Yes. The factory software is backed up before the remap, so we can put your Kia back to standard later. There's a separate charge for putting it back to standard, and we'll quote it on request.
Do I need to tell my insurer about a remapped Kia?
Yes. A remap is a modification, so declare it. Kia warranties can also be affected by a remap, so check the terms if yours is still covered.
