Land Rover EGR problems and delete

Smoke, hesitation and a rough idle on a diesel Land Rover or Range Rover often point to the EGR valve. We diagnose the fault on your driveway, at work or on the farm, and the EGR delete is £220 + VAT.

EGR delete for Land Rover

Exhaust routed back through the EGR carries soot that sticks to oil vapour and builds up on the valve. Once it sticks, the engine loses its smoothness and the ECU logs a fault, sometimes cutting power.

A delete is one option. The other is a garage replacing the valve, as we don't clean EGR valves.

Can you delete the EGR on a Land Rover?

Yes, on most diesel Land Rovers and Range Rovers used off-road or exported. Our EGR delete legal guide explains why it can't be done on a road vehicle.

Do you clean Land Rover EGR valves?

We don't offer EGR cleaning. We diagnose the problem, then either send you to a garage for a replacement valve or carry out the delete.

How much is an EGR delete on a Land Rover?

£220 + VAT on site. If you'd rather replace the valve, our EGR valve replacement cost guide covers the alternative.
