About the Qashqai DPF clean
Plenty of diesel Qashqais spend their lives on short local runs, which rarely let the filter burn off its soot. The warning light is the car telling you the filter has had enough, and a clean is usually what it needs.
If the filter is cracked or full of ash, cleaning won't help and we'll say so first. In that case we can delete the DPF for £220 + VAT.
At home or at work
The engine has to run during the regeneration, so the Qashqai needs to be somewhere that's safe and well ventilated.
- Your driveway, or the road outside if it's quiet enough to work beside the car
- A work car park, once you've checked it's fine with the site

Yes, provided the car is parked somewhere safe and your workplace is happy for us to be there. Most people simply hand over the keys and carry on with their day.
Do I need to be there?
Not for the whole visit. We need the keys to start, and it helps if you're around at the end so we can explain the readings.
Can you check what blocked my Qashqai's DPF while you're there?
The codes and live data often point to the cause, whether that's a pressure sensor, the EGR valve or just short trips. If it needs a deeper look, diagnostics are £100 + VAT.
How do I stop the Qashqai's DPF blocking again?
A regular longer run at a steady speed gives the filter the heat it needs to regenerate. Let a regeneration finish when it starts, and keep to the oil grade the engine is specified for.
Is a Qashqai DPF delete legal?
Not on a road car. We only delete the DPF on a Qashqai kept off-road or going for export, as our DPF removal guide explains.
