Audi remapping
If your Audi feels flat when overtaking or you want better mpg from a diesel, a remap changes how the engine delivers its power. We map Audis at home or at work for £275 + VAT, with the original software saved first.
Remapping for Audi
Audi's TDI and TFSI engines are turbocharged, which is why they respond well to a new map. A remap adjusts boost, fuelling and timing within safe limits so the car pulls more strongly from lower revs.
We read the fault memory before touching the software, then talk through the map that fits how you use the car. A diesel A4 covering long motorway runs may suit an economy map, while an S1 owner usually wants Stage 1.
What a remap changes
- Stronger pull from low and middle revs, so overtakes need less planning
- Fewer downchanges on hills and motorway inclines
- Smoother throttle response in town traffic
- A small mpg gain on many diesels, with an economy map if fuel is the priority
- A gearbox map can sharpen the shifts if your Audi has an automatic or S tronic gearbox

Reviews
Can you quote for my Audi from the registration?
Yes. The registration tells us the engine and ECU, so we can give a fixed price and confirm the maps available before booking a visit.
Can a remapped Audi go back to standard?
The original software is read and saved before we write the new map, so it can go back to standard if you sell the car or change your mind. A charge applies for returning it to standard, which we'll confirm when you ask.
Do I need to tell my insurer about a remapped Audi?
Yes. Insurers class a remap as a modification, so let them know before or straight after the work. There's more on cover and claims in our remap insurance and warranty guide.
