Ford Transit DPF cleaning and delete

Yes, we clean Transit DPFs on site, with the filter left on the van, for £275 + VAT. We come to your yard, depot or home anywhere across Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, Cheshire and Huddersfield. A DPF delete is £220 + VAT.

What we can do on the Transit

DPF cleaning for £275 + VAT

A cleaning solution goes into the filter, then a forced regeneration burns the loosened soot out. The filter stays bolted to the van throughout.

Diagnostics for £100 + VAT

If the warning keeps coming back, we read the codes, soot load and pressure readings to find what's filling the filter.

The ECU is reprogrammed so it stops monitoring and regenerating the filter.

Transits with the SID212 ECU

Many 2018-on Transit models use a locked Ford SID212 ECU, so a delete means removing the ECU and sending it off to be unlocked, with a 7-day turnaround and a £1,200 + VAT price. Our SID212 DPF delete page explains how that works.

Transit versions we work on

We clean filters on diesel Transit panel vans, chassis cabs, tippers and minibuses. If yours is showing "exhaust filter overloaded" or a DPF light, that's usually a soot problem a clean can deal with, as long as the filter isn't cracked or full of ash.

Engines and ECUs vary across the Transit range, so send the registration and we'll confirm what we can do on your van before you book.

Ford Transit van

How it works

Send the registration

Tell us what the dash says and how the van is used, whether that's multi-drop work or long motorway runs.

We come to the van

A yard, a depot car park or your driveway all work, as long as the engine can idle safely while we're there.

Readings, then the clean

We check the codes and soot figures first, so you know the filter can be cleaned before we start. Then the solution goes in and the regeneration runs.

Codes cleared and handover

The readings are taken again and we tell you what we found, including anything that might block the filter again.

Why book SGR for your Transit

  • The Transit stays where it's parked, so there's no garage drop-off to arrange
  • Most DPF cleans are done in 60 to 90 minutes
  • We hold £2 million of insurance cover
  • Locked SID212 ECUs aren't a barrier, as our SID212 tuning guide sets out

Frequently asked questions

Can you clean the DPF on my Transit?

In most cases, yes. If the readings show ash or a cracked filter, cleaning won't fix it and we'll tell you so before any money changes hands.

How long does a Transit DPF clean take?

Expect 60 to 90 minutes from arrival to handover on most Transits. A van that arrives badly blocked can take a little longer, because the regeneration has more soot to burn.

What does a Transit DPF clean cost?

A clean is £275 + VAT at your yard or home. The £220 + VAT delete is only for vans used off-road or heading for export, because removing the DPF function from a road-going Transit is illegal, as our DPF removal guide explains.

Does the DPF have to come off?

No. The filter stays on the Transit for the whole clean, so there's no unbolting, no parts to order and no van left off the road overnight.

Book your Transit DPF clean

Send us the registration and the message on the dash, and we'll book a slot at your yard or home. Our Ford DPF page covers the rest of the range, including the Transit Custom and the Ranger.

The same van can also be booked in for Transit remapping, Transit EGR work or an AdBlue check.
