Ford Ranger EGR problems and delete
Yes, we work on Ranger EGR valve and EGR cooler faults, and we come to the pickup with the diagnostic kit. We find what's behind the warning first, then talk you through the options. The EGR delete costs £220 + VAT, or £1,200 + VAT on Rangers with the SID212 ECU, which is unlocked off site.
What we can do on the Ranger
Diagnostics for £100 + VAT
We read the stored codes and the live EGR data, so you know whether the valve, the cooler or a sensor is at fault before you spend anything on parts.
EGR delete for £220 + VAT
The EGR is switched off in the ECU software and its fault codes are cleared.
New valve or cooler
If you'd rather keep the EGR working, a garage can fit a replacement valve or cooler. We don't clean EGR valves.
Rangers with the SID212 ECU
Many 2018-on Ranger models use a locked Ford SID212 ECU, so the ECU is removed, unlocked and programmed off site, then refitted after 7 days. Our SID212 EGR delete page covers those pickups.

Diagnosis, then the delete
If your Ranger is showing EGR cooler faults such as P2457, we'll tell you before anything changes, and our EGR cooler failure guide covers the warning signs. The EGR is then switched off in the software.

Can you delete the EGR on a Ranger?

Do you clean EGR valves?
No, we don't offer EGR valve cleaning. If you'd rather keep the EGR, a garage can fit a new valve, and our diagnostic check confirms the valve is the problem before you order one.
How much is a Ranger EGR delete?
The delete is £220 + VAT, carried out wherever the Ranger is parked in our area. If you'd like the fault confirmed first, diagnostics cost £100 + VAT.
How long does it take?
Most Ranger EGR deletes are finished in 60 to 90 minutes, including the code checks before and after. If the warning light has only just come on, you can often get a same-day slot.
